AUD/USD falls further below 0.7600

The greenback is closing the week on a strong note, dragging AUD/USD to fresh 1-week lows following hawkish comments from Fed’s member Rosenberg.

AUD/USD is on track to post its third daily loss in a row, after being rejected from the 0.7730 area. The pair bottomed out at 0.7547 in recent dealings but found support, and climbed back to the 0.7570 area, where it is still down 1.05% on the day.

Boston Fed President Eric Rosengren said low interest rates are increasing risks of overheating the US economy. "A failure to continue on the path of gradual removal of accommodation could shorten, rather than lengthen, the duration of this recovery," he said.

AUD/USD levels to consider

In terms of technical levels, next supports are seen at 0.7547 (Sep 9 low), 0.7535 (Sep 2 low) and 0.7486 (100-day SMA). On the other hand, resistances could be faced at 0.7656 (Sep 9 high), 0.7731 (Sep 8 high) and 0.7759 (Aug 11 high).
