NZD/USD back above 0.8100
FXStreet (Córdoba) - The kiwi is rising against the US dollar on Thursday recovering part of yesterday's losses. NZD/USD bottomed during the Asian session at 0.8073, the lowest price since February but then started to move with an upside bias.
Economic data from New Zealand showed that the economy grew by 0.7% during the second quarter, around analysts expectations. Now traders attention turns to Saturday when general elections will take place in New Zealand to determinar the members of the 51st Parliament.
Ahead of the election, NZD/USD is rising 50 pips having the best day in weeks but is still facing bearish pressure, on a wider perspective and continues to trade near 2014 lows that lie at 0.8050 (February 4 low).
